CarsTD, A reversed tower defense game made from scratch in just 10 days!

In CarsTD, you're not trying to escape the chaos—you are the chaos. Stop the cars from racing away by strategically placing towers to block their escape routes. Each wave of cars challenges your wits and tactics, as you must adapt to new tiles and changing paths. Can you keep the racers trapped?

Controls

• Place Towers: Select from the shop and click on "For Sale" signs.
• Navigate the Map: WASD to move, mouse to rotate, scroll to zoom.
• Unlock New Tiles: Gain extra tiles after each wave to expand your grid of control.

Behind the Scenes

This project is a labor of love and experimentation, built for VimJam in only ten days by a team of three:

• Luna: Lead developer, first-time JS coder, and engine creator.
• Una: 3D artist who brought the world to life with custom models.
• Dimitree: Developer extraordinaire, lending a hand with UI and gameplay.

We challenged ourselves to go beyond our comfort zones. Luna learned to write shaders, parse .obj files, and build a game engine in JavaScript—all while figuring out how to bring the reversed tower defense concept to life. We worked together to craft all assets and write the code ourselves, relying on a few web searches for the occasional nudge in the right direction.

(I recommend using a chromium based Browser, as I had wierd graphical glitches on firefox)
